Day 60 – Take a Ride on the SeaBus & Explore Lonsdale Quay Market...
I am always surprised when how many long time Vancouverites tell me they have never been on the SeaBus. If you haven’t been on it grab you most stylish nautical gear and take a spin!
The SeaBus runs from 6am to 1am daily. Check the SeaBus Translink page here for schedules and rates (roughly $3). It departs from Waterfront Terminal in Downtown Vancouver, which is at the North end of Granville Street and travels across the Burrard Inlet in about 10 minutes. The SeaBus pulls in to North Vancouver at the Lonsdale Quay, the most vibrant area on the North Shore.
The Lonsdale Quay market is only a few hundred feet from the SeaBus terminal; inside they offer a food fair, produce, flowers, arts & crafts, a wine shop and other random Granville Island like offerings. One of my favourites is the seafood shop that will steam a pound of clams or mussels for you and serve it up with some butter for about $8!
Get out there and sail the seas and check out the Lonsdale Quay Market…
