Day 9 - Get a hot shave
The hot shave is something every man must experience in his lifetime – steaming towels, lathery foams, the fresh bite of aftershave – what better way to distract from an exposed razor blade shearing across your face?
When I first walked through the doors of Momentum Grooming, I felt like Wyatt Earp in off the range with weeks’ worth of beard to lose. The bushy mustached barber leaned me back in the chair & worked with surgeon-like precision. The ritual made me feel manlier than any experimental use of duct tape or well-crafted fantasy trade ever has.
Shaves cost upwards of $40 but every dollar is well spent. Momentum’s been the best of the modern barbershops I’ve tried, check them out on Burrard just past Davie. You’ll never look at a Mach-3 the same again.
