Last fall, a bargain shop in Chinatown filled its windows with Olympic shwag & began pumping out the goods at rock bottom, reduced to the ridiculous prices.  When I drove by, I thought about my red t-shirt, scarf & hoodie and how long I waited in line to buy them.  I thought about The Bay & the crazed crowds of shoppers foraging through piles of merchandise like zombies ripping through a corpse and how I degraded myself to their level so I could fit in with the masses.  Where are those crowds now?  This shop is practically giving the shwag away!

Thankfully, your Olympic shwag has the opportunity to be worn & loved again!  This Saturday, Granville will be overrun one more time with maniac canucks.  Highlights of the games will be played at Robson square, buskers, music, banners, street hockey, the downtown core will be re-ignited with Olympic fever.  From noon until 9pm, head down to Granville & relive the magic of last year.
