Day 77 – Cavalia – Jay Leno Says it’s the Best Show he has ever Seen… That’s good enough for me…
Normand Latourelle who was formerly with Cirque du Soleil is the artistic director behind ‘Cavalia’. Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse is a multidisciplinary show involving aerialists, acrobats, horseback riders, dancers, musicians, and a vocalist, as well as 55 horses.
Running from March 22nd to April 10th at the Olympic Village under the White Big Top - a 26,264-square-foot big top rising 100 feet high, the show features a 160-foot-wide stage, allowing the horses to gallop and run unbridled. Digital projections on a 200-foot-wide screen provide the backdrop for a multimedia extravaganza.
Tickets run from $35 to $190 depending on your view and if you would like the extra VIP or ‘horse lover’ package.
I have never been disappointed with a Cirque du Soleil type show, and from all of the hype surrounding this one I’m sure it will be no different. Head over to http://www.cavalia.net/ for more details and tickets.
