What better city to host the Celebration of Light than one
that barely sees the sun most of the year? This week marks the 21st year the world’s best
have come to Vancouver to dazzle eyes & lower jaws with their aerial
explosions. Crews of 16 require 3
days & roughly 600 man-hours to prepare for each show, with anywhere from
2,000 – 4,500 bombs each night.
Tonight, Spain’s “Odyssey” blasts off at 10 sharp, with
Canada lined up for Saturday’s finale.
Wherever you plan to watch the spectacle, be prepared for long waits in
traffic & fierce battles with the crowds. Is the show worth it?
